Uniqueness and originality. There is only one 1895 Tarlton House. It has 7 guest rooms, and not one of the 7 has the same theme, decor, amenities or features. Each is one of a kind. Your time is irreplaceable, and this matchless, distinctive experience is exceptional.

Historic Significance. Every year, fewer and fewer historic buildings survive. Hillsboro is blessed to have several grand old homes, but it's a fraction of the total homes that were built in the early days of Texas.

Personal Service. Your interactions are with innkeepers, the owners of the business, rather than $6/hr employees. Innkeepers are part tourguide, part historian, part chef, part housekeeper. You are not anonymous, but a guest with a name. A hotel has efficiency of scale and lower costs. A BnB has a few select guests who prefer style and distinction tailored for them.

House guest. In a bed and breakfast facility, you are one of a few invited guests in someone's home, not a building constructed to lodge 100 people or more.
